The Band
The Centennial Community Band is comprised of a core group of over 60 musicians. The band is open to interested woodwind, brass and percussion players to join a few rehearsals without obligation.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held Tuesday nights, September through
June, at the Centennial High School or Centennial Middle School band rooms from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. depending on the date. We typically perform Fall, Winter and Spring
concerts in the Centennial Performing Arts Center and
sometimes several summer concerts. We enjoy reading
and playing repertoire of varied styles ranging
from traditional compositions for band to inspiring
contemporary pieces.
The Community
The Centennial community includes the cities of Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes. The school district which serves this community is ISD 12. Please note that membership is not limited to residents of the Centennial community!
Mission
The purpose of the band is:
- To contribute positively to the musical environment of the area it serves.
- To reaffirm the community band position in American music.
- To support fine arts projects which are beneficial to the cultural growth of the community and individual participants.
